Radius Raid: Survive the Swarm While Keeping an Escape Route
Radius Raid is an arena survival shooter. You steer a green ship, point toward enemies with the mouse, and hold the mouse button to fire. Enemies arrive from around the arena while kills increase your score and advance the level. There is no short fixed campaign ending: your run continues until the health bar is exhausted.
Play Radius RaidSet up movement and aim separately
Choose Play on the opening menu. Move with WASD or the arrow keys, aim with the mouse, and hold the mouse button to shoot. P or Esc pauses an active run. The lower-left minimap reveals threats beyond the visible playfield.
Begin by moving sideways into open space and pointing toward an approaching enemy. You can aim in one direction while traveling in another, so you do not need to turn the ship toward your escape route before firing. Practice that separation before concentrating on the score.
- Start moving before the first enemies reach you.
- Aim at a nearby enemy and hold the mouse button to fire.
- Change your travel direction when a route becomes crowded, while keeping the pointer on a useful target.
Keep space around your ship
Enemies can approach from several directions. Aiming at one distant target for too long can hide the more urgent danger beside you. Check the immediate space around your ship, then use the minimap to decide where to move next. The arena boundary limits escape, so avoid staying pressed against it.
In the pictured run, the ship moved through the arena while firing at nearby enemies. The score reached 50 during this early sequence, and the run later advanced to level 2. This demonstrates a workable opening, but the same route is not guaranteed: enemy positions and the gaps between them change.

Release fire when you need more movement
Holding the fire button applies extra slowing to the ship. Continuous fire is useful when you have room, but it can make an urgent escape less responsive. Briefly release the mouse button when you need to move out of a closing group, then resume shooting from a clearer position.
Prefer a target that is both close enough to threaten you and reachable by your shots. Long bursts toward distant edges can spend attention without opening a useful gap. Change direction early, before the nearest enemies leave you with only one narrow exit.
Collect powerups without diving into danger
The five pickup types are Health Pack, Slow Enemies, Fast Shot, Triple Shot, and Pierce Shot. Move over a pickup to activate its effect. The health effect restores life over time up to the normal maximum; it is not an instant guarantee of a full health bar.
Use the active-effect indicators to see which benefits are running. A pickup can justify a small detour through open space, but it is a poor trade if reaching it means crossing a dense group. The recorded run collected three powerups; it did not require collecting every available item.
Use the results to choose your next goal
After health reaches zero, the Game over panel lists score, level, kills, bullets, powerups, and time. This run ended with 140 points, level 2, and 25 kills. Its results make a useful beginner comparison: first aim to reach level 2, then try to do so while keeping more health.
Choose Play Again for a new run with full health, zero points, and a fresh kill count, or choose Menu to leave the results. Best scores and accumulated statistics are stored locally, but the current battle is not a saved run you can resume after reloading.

Quick tips
- Leave yourself an escape route before committing to a burst.
- Release fire briefly when extra movement matters.
- Use nearby pickups opportunistically, not at the cost of getting surrounded.
