Coil: Close Fast Loops Around Blue Orbs
Coil is a quick mouse-trail game about enclosing targets. A glowing line follows your pointer, and crossing that line back over itself creates a loop. Blue orbs caught inside earn points; missed blue orbs eventually explode and reduce your energy. There are no fixed stages to clear, so the aim is to sustain a controlled sequence of loops for as long as you can.
Play CoilMake a small, complete loop
Select Start Game, then move your mouse inside the playfield. You do not need to hold a mouse button for the trail to follow you. On a touch screen, drag one finger instead. Move around a blue orb and cross your own recent trail to finish the enclosure. Simply drawing a curved line beside an orb is not enough.
Your trail is short and constantly disappears from its oldest end. A large, slow circle may erase its starting point before you return to it. Begin with a small loop around one nearby orb, and continue slightly past the starting line so that the crossing is clear.
- Choose a blue orb with open space around it.
- Move around it in a compact circle.
- Cross the recent trail to close the loop, then move toward the next target.
Use the result of the loop as feedback
A successful enclosure removes the blue target and displays a points notification. In this run, a series of real circular pointer movements produced visible 30-point notifications and began filling the multiplier indicators. The image shows the trail immediately after one of those closures.
Watch for that feedback instead of assuming that every circular gesture worked. If a target remains, tighten the loop or cross the trail more decisively on your next attempt. Pointer movement is smoothed by the game, so a rushed sharp corner may not create the shape you expected.

Distinguish urgent blue targets from red bombs
Normal blue orbs become flashing yellow-green targets as they approach expiration. They are still targets to collect, and their changing appearance is a warning to prioritize them. Missing a normal orb costs 30 energy. You begin with 100 energy, so several neglected targets can end a run quickly.
Red orbs are bombs. Enclosing one costs 30 energy and resets your multiplier, while letting a bomb expire has no penalty. Keep a little space between the loop boundary and a nearby bomb. A small safe enclosure is more useful than a wide circle that catches both colors.
Build a chain without sacrificing control
Each enclosed normal orb restores 1 energy and helps increase the score multiplier, up to four times. Catching several normal orbs in one loop adds a further reward. Missing an ordinary orb or collecting a bomb interrupts the multiplier, so consistency matters more than chasing every possible group.
Your score also rises while the run is active. Do not judge a successful catch by score movement alone: look for a disappearing target, points notification, or growing multiplier. As more targets appear, choose a nearby urgent orb you can reach cleanly.
Read the final score and start again
When energy reaches zero, the game returns to its menu and displays Your Score. The pictured run ended at 2376 after successful loops followed by enough missed orbs to drain the remaining energy. It is a complete score run, not a completed campaign.
Select Start Game to reset the score, clear the old trail, and restore 100 energy. There is no saved mid-run position to continue after a refresh. For your next attempt, try to maintain several single-orb catches before attempting a multi-orb loop.

Quick tips
- Cross your own trail; an almost closed circle may not count.
- Keep loops compact enough to finish before the tail fades.
- Let red bombs expire and prioritize flashing normal orbs.
